Grab goofy shoes, ball, help local kids

OK, I admit it: I’m not a great bowler. While you might see an occasional strike when I’m on the lanes, don’t expect me to appear on the pro bowlers’ tour anytime soon. But you will still see me put on those goofy shoes and give it my best shot and I’d love it if you could join me.

You guessed it – Bowl for Kids’ Sake is right around the corner. Each year hundreds of people – some good bowlers, many not – gather together for the sole purpose of having fun while helping local children achieve success in life. Participants raise money for Big Brothers Big Sisters and then celebrate their fundraising at one of the 14 Bowl for Kids’ Sake events held in the five counties we serve.

This is an important fundraiser for the agency because the money raised is used to place dedicated, caring mentors in the lives of children on our waiting list. Littles who already have a Big aren’t left out; money from the fundraiser also supports Bigs and Littles who are currently matched.

You will find a schedule and information on how to register for Bowl for Kids’ Sake in this newsletter. Remember, you don’t have to be a good bowler to do a lot of good for local children. I look forward to seeing you at the alleys!
