In mid-May, Little Brother Huxley and Big Brother John were matched as mentee and mentor.

These two love technology – Huxley is excited to learn to code, and John is ready to dive in! They can learn with, and from, each other.

John is an experienced runner, and Huxley loves being active. Huxley wants to become a better runner so they plan to work on his endurance together this summer.

LITTLE AND BIG

Little Brother Huxley is kind, energetic, loves to learn, and can’t wait to explore his interests with his Big Brother. He is a math lover who also enjoys building things, playing computer games, and being outside.

Big Brother John’s kids have grown older and more independent, so he has been looking for another way to support the community. Mentoring through Big Brothers Big Sisters is just what he was looking for. He works in IT, is an avid runner, and has experience coaching both sports and robotics teams.

MATCH GOALS

Upon meeting for the first time, Big Brothers Big Sisters asks new matches to develop goals for their first year as mentee and mentor. Huxley and John set these goals:

  1. Grow a healthy and meaningful friendship
  2. Work on running speed/distance together
