This is the traditional Big Brothers Big Sisters relationship, where Bigs and Littles get together on their own to share activities they both enjoy. Individuals, couples, and families are matched with a Little (age 6 and older) to share fun and rewarding experiences throughout the community as they build their friendship.
By meeting at least twice a month for two hours each time for at least a year, the Big is able to introduce the Little to new people, places and ideas. This broadens the child's view of the world around them and the many opportunities available.
Getting together is a great time for both the Big and the Little. It doesn’t require a special occasion or expensive activities; just a few hours every month to share the simple things you already like to do.
Some Bigs meet their Littles on the weekends. Others get together with their Littles in the evenings. Each match is unique and develops a schedule that works for them.
Meeting consistently is the key!
